MV Polarlys, MV Trollfjord and MV Finnmarken; Norwegian cruise company Hurtigruten testing Shipsonic Ultrasonic Antifouling

The Norwegian dealer for Shipsonic, Naustor Technology (https://www.naustor.com/), has struck an agreement for testing of our systems with the well know Norwegian Cruise company Hurtigruten (https://global.hurtigruten.com/). We will be testing our ultrasonic anti-fouling systems on the hulls of 3 different Hurtigruten cruise ships.

1) The Polarlys has been equipped with 2×100 Watt, 28 kHz ultrasonic converters, at 9 meters distance on the hull.

2) The Trollfjord has been equipped with 2×120 Watt, 20 kHz ultrasonic converters, at 9 meters distance on the hull.

3)  The Finnmarken has been equipped with 2×50 Watt, 40 kHz ultrasonic converters, at 9 meters distance on the hull.

Given the notorious fouling in the Norwegian waters, this will give us a very good indication of the effectiveness of our different system configurations. A very nice opportunity indeed!!

Tor Geir Engebretsen of Hurtigruten is also excited, see his twitter feeds below:

Lastly, a big thumbs up for Trond Storebø of Naustor Technology AS, who made all this work!!!
